Abstract

The invention discloses an LDO (Low Dropout Regulator) over-current protection circuit, which comprises an over-current protection structure and a current turn-back structure, wherein the overcurrent protection structure is connected with the current turn-back structure; the overcurrent protection structure clamps a maximum output current through a loop formed by a current mirror, the current turn-back structure generates a current turn-back output current in proportion to an output voltage by adopting a negative feedback loop formed by an error amplifier, and an overcurrent limit and a turn-back point voltage can be adjusted by adjusting an external resistor of the current turn-back structure. Therefore, the voltage stabilizer is prevented from being latched. Compared with a traditional over-current limiting structure, power consumption can be reduced, and a power tube is protected from being burnt down; and compared with a traditional turn-back mode, the over-current limit and the turn-back point voltage can be conveniently adjusted by adjusting the external resistance, so that latch-up is avoided.
