Problems solved by technology

The resin disclosed as an example in this patent publication can remain solid on a polycarbonate substrate, but on a paper substrate, the resin of this formulation cannot withstand the stretching of the paper when moisture is absorbed, causing cracking
[0004] In the prior art described above, two contradictory requirements cannot be met at the same time, these two requirements are: the protective layer, which is only bonded to the printed matter, should be able to be cut precisely at the edge of the printed matter; Caused prints to increase in size and cause cracks

Thereafter, 36 g of the mixture was taken out and placed in a similar second reaction vessel, after which emulsification was carried out at 73° C. for 40 minutes under the introduction of nitrogen gas. Thereafter, 17 g of ammonium peroxosulfate was dissolved in 36 g of water as a polymerization initiator, and added to the above emulsion. Thereafter, the r...

Abstract

A laminating film has at least a surface layer and an adhesive layer deposited on a substrate, wherein the surface layer is provided by applying a coating made by blending together at least two types of emulsions. In the laminating film emulsion polymers comprised in the emulsions may be different in glass transition temperature. A laminating method using the laminating film comprises the steps of press-bonding the laminating film to a printed matter at a temperature not less than the glass transition temperature of the emulsion polymer with relatively high glass transition temperature, and separating the laminating film from the printed matter thereafter.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates to a laminate film for forming a protective layer on a printed matter and a method of using the laminate film. In particular, the present invention relates to a lamination film and a lamination method for thermocompression-bonding a protective layer formed on a substrate to a printed matter, and then peeling off the substrate to form the protective layer on the printed matter. Background technique [0002] In a widely used method at present, a transparent resin layer coated on a heat-resistant substrate is thermocompressively bonded to prints output from electrophotography and inkjet devices. For example, as disclosed in Japanese Patent Application Publication No. 6-91767, there are also methods in which a laminated film having a protective layer is adhered to a printed matter and only the protective layer is transferred to the surface of the printed matter. In this case, as for the method of coating the protective layer ...
