Embodiment 2

[0211] L’Oreal dark brown permanent hair dye

[0212] Use L’Oreal dark brown permanent hair dye to dye locks of hair, following the instructions. The change in color ΔE was measured using McBeth Color Eye.

[0213] The changes in ΔE values are summarized in the table below. From the results in the table, it can be seen that the color change after a 30-minute treatment with L’Oreal dark brown hair dye is very similar to the result of 6 treatments with a dyeing conditioner for 2 minutes. There is a good correlation between the number of treatments and the change in hair color. Six treatments are required to achieve a permanent color with a single 30-minute treatment.

[0214] L’Oreal invention:

[0215] Preference: dark brown

Embodiment 3

[0224] Carry out a combing test to evaluate the degree of damage. Wet combing evaluation technology has been used for related damage evaluation. A lower wet combing force indicates less damage. The above tresses were evaluated by measuring the combing force with Instron.

[0225] The results show that the locks treated with L'Oreal dark brown hair dye require greater combing power than the locks treated with dye conditioner.

[0226] experimental method

[0227] In order to evaluate the wet combing performance of the dark brown and light brown conditioners of the present invention, the following measurements were made: the combing force of the hair after 30 treatments with the light brown composition was measured and compared with the combing force of the hair after one treatment with L'OrealPreference . Similarly, the tensile strength damage caused by the composition of the present invention and a commercially available dyed product (Preference produced by L'Oreal) was also compa...

Abstract

A method for permanently dyeing hair which comprises subjecting said hair to a number of treatments, having a set time interval between each two consecutive such treatments, wherein each treatment comprises steps a.) and b.) below: a.) contacting said hair, for a period of about 5 seconds to about 5 minutes with a recently made mixture of: i.) an alkaline composition comprising a dye intermediate in a shampoo base or in a conditioner base; and ii.) an acidic composition comprising an oxidating compound in a shampoo base or in a conditioner base; b.) rinsing said mixture from said hair with water;with the proviso that when a conditioner base is present in a.) i.) above, an independently selected conditioner base is also present in a.) ii.) above; and when a shampoo base is present in a.) i.) above, an independently selected shampoo base is also present in a.) ii.) above;and wherein said number of treatments is between about 2 to about 30; and wherein said set time interval between each two consecutive treatments is between about 8 hours and 30 days, is described.

Description

Background of the invention [0001] The present invention relates to a method for permanent hair dyeing, which can make the hair continue to be conditioned for a longer time and can minimize the damage to the hair. [0002] Most hair coloring products fall into three main types: [0003] 1. Temporary hair dye [0004] 2. Semi-permanent hair dye [0005] 3. Permanent hair dye [0006] Temporary hair dye is a product left on the hair, which causes minimal damage to the hair. However, temporary hair dyes can cause stains, which can be leached out when it rains or sweats. The temporary hair dye will be washed off the next time you shampoo. In temporary hair dyes, consumers cannot control the amount of color deposited or the permanence of the color provided. Temporary hair dye does not produce a variety of colors, and its appeal is very limited. [0007] Semi-permanent hair dye is rinsable and it has minimal damage to the hair. However, semi-permanent hair dyes can fade to a certain ext...
