Problems solved by technology

[0008] However, in the technology disclosed in Patent Document 2, as long as it is during the supplementary charging period, supplementary charging is performed regardless of the state of charge of the secondary battery. also charge
This leads to waste of electricity, increasing the chance of charging, and possibly shortening the life of the secondary battery

Embodiment Construction

[0034] figure 1 It is a structural block diagram of a lighting device according to an embodiment of the present invention. The charging circuit 11 charges the battery 13 after converting the alternating current from the commercial power supply 12 into direct current, and keeps the battery 13 charged by intermittent charging. The light source 14 is connected to the battery 13 via a lighting device 31 , and when the power supply of the light source 14 fails, the battery 13 supplies power to the light source 14 to light the light source 14 . The light source 14 is, for example, an incandescent lamp, a fluorescent lamp, or a light-emitting diode, and the lighting device is, for example, an emergency light or a guide light. In addition, the battery 13 is, for example, a nickel-metal hydride battery.

[0035] The AC voltage of the commercial power supply 12 is input to the conversion circuit 15 of the charging circuit 11, and is converted into a predetermined DC voltage. The con...

Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make judgment properly about the life of a battery when it is charged, to attain power saving and life prolongation.

SOLUTION: An arithmetic operation control unit 16 turns a switch 17 of DC power on/off from a converter circuit 15 so as to intermittently charge a battery 13. The operation control unit 16 obtains difference voltage between the battery voltage when auxiliary charge is started in the case of intermittent charge and the battery voltage when the auxiliary charge is ended. When the internal resistance value of the battery 13 obtained by dividing the difference voltage by the charge current obtains a prescribed value or more, a life of the battery is judged. When the life of the battery is judged, an output apparatus 22 informs a user of the result of judgement.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates to a charging circuit, an emergency lighting device, and a lighting device for charging a battery that supplies power to an emergency light or a guide light to light them during a power failure. Background technique [0002] For example, during a power outage, the battery supplies power to lighting devices such as emergency lights and guide lights so that lighting can be maintained for a predetermined time even during a power outage. For this reason, it is necessary to charge the battery in advance so that it has power capable of turning on the lighting device for at least a predetermined time or more after a power failure occurs. [0003] There are two types of battery charging methods: intermittent charging and trickle charging. Intermittent charging is to charge to a fully charged state in the initial charge, then set a rest interval, and use compensation charging after the rest interval to supplement the capacity redu...
