The manufacturing method comprises the following steps of (1) preparing sterile gauze and a sterile bag comprising a brown bottle, a larger container, a large treatment disk, a surgical gown, a mortar and a grinding rod thereinto; and preparing absolute ethyl alcohol, iodoform, medical glycerin and diethyl ether, wherein the volume ratio of the absolute ethyl alcohol, the medical glycerin to the diethyl ether 1:1:1; (2) opening the sterile bag, pouring the gauze into the large treatment disk, adding the absolute ethyl alcohol to the disk and uniformly rubbing the gauze; and then pouring the medical glycerin and the iodoform into the mortar, uniformly stirring by using the grinding rod, pouring mixture onto the gauze in the large treatment disk, and uniformly rubbing till the gauze totally becomes yellow; and (3) spreading little diethyl ether on the gauze, rapidly stirring, and putting the ready-made gauze in the prepared brown bottle by a pair of tweezers for sealing cold storage. The manufacturing method of the iodoform gauze has the technical effects that the iodoform is not dissolved in the diethyl ether in advance, so that the content of the diethyl ether in the iodoform gauze is reduced, and the iodoform gauze nearly contains no foul smell.
