A close-fitting, compression garment is described for providing adjustable compressive force over a surgical site in the dorsocervical region of the human body below the neck, above and between the shoulder blades of the upper back. The vest body portion of the invented garment has graduated or increasing elasticity encircling the upper torso and shoulder region of the body. Wide adjustable elastic pressure bands pressure anchored at the dorsocervical apex at the back of the vest stretch over the shoulders of the patient and adjustably anchored to anchor strips secured to the front chest surface of the vest for establishing compression over a surgical site in the dorsocervical region during recovery as needed both for rehabilitation and comfort.

A draping system provides a continuous sterile field between a patient incision area and one or more medical practitioners. The draping system has a quick release system incorporated into the drape that enables a medical practitioner to separate from the continuous sterile field without disrupting the sterile field around the practitioner or the patient. The draping system may include an abbreviated practitioner gown, a drain and an integral patient incision area or a flap for extending the continuous sterile field around to one or more additional operating room tables. A modular drape and gown system extends the sterile field beyond the operating table allowing practitioners to couple to the extended field. A one piece garment having a bottom portion with two leg openings connected to a openable torso portion with two arm openings and a neck opening with closable seams on the left and right front shoulder and arm sections of the garment with detachably fastenable closure means intermittently spaced on adjacent mating edges for dressing an infant, an invalid or oneself without effort or difficulty. The top portion's detachably fastenable closure means begins at the front of the neck opening and continues across the front of the shoulder section; or at the front of the neck opening down the sleeve to an unopenable sleeve cuff banding or all the way down the sleeve to the cuff banding, allowing for the complete opening of the sleeve. Alternatively, the bottom and top portions can be two separate garments. The top portion's detachably fastenable closure means also begins at the front of the neck opening and continues across the shoulder section; or at the front of the neck opening down the shirt sleeve to an unopenable sleeve cuff banding or all the way down the shirt sleeve to the cuff banding, allowing for complete opening of the sleeve. The bottom portion's detachably fastenable closure means begins at the torso opening and continues down the front or slightly offset on the front leg section to the unopenable pant leg cuff banding or down the pant leg section to the openable pant leg cuff banding, allowing for complete opening of the pant leg. The intermittently spaced detachably fastenable closure means can also be used as a means of adjusting the length of the arm or leg portions of the garment when they are to long or as a means to close the arm or leg portion open ends of the garment so the hands or feet do not extend out of the arm or leg openings. The intermittently spaced detachably fastenable closure means comprises buttons, snaps, zippers, hook and loop patches, zip lock fasteners, magnets, etc. secured to or sewn into or onto the garment's openable and closable seam joining edges.

A disposable surgical gown includes a front portion, a pair of sleeves, and first and second back portions. The first back portion includes an adhesive tab which extends from the first back portion to overlap at least a portion of the second back portion when the surgical gown is donned by a wearer. The adhesive tab is configured to overlap to adhere to the gown in a worn position. A protective garment having an expandable material incorporated therein is provided. The expandable material may be formed of a nonwoven fabric having a first fabric surface and a second fabric surface which is opposite the first fabric surface. A section of the fabric defines at least one region gathered into a plurality of successive pleats. Each pleat is made of an overlap in the fabric such that a portion of the first fabric surface is disposed adjacent to another portion of the first fabric surface. A secondary panel for straddling a pleat may be provided. The secondary panel may be attached to the fabric by attachment points that are adapted to retain the pleat in a folded state until application of a tensile force directed along the fabric length causes the secondary panel to separate which would enable the pleat to unfold.

The invention relates to a nonwoven gown made of a gown body terminating in two edges at a back of the gown. The gown contains a closure member that extends around the gown body and terminates at each edge. Manipulation of the closure member moves at least one of the edges toward the other thereby closing the back of the gown. A fastener located along at least a portion of at least one of the edges may be provided. Some suitable fasteners include tape, hook and loop type fasteners, and/or snaps. Such a gown enables a wearer to close and secure the gown by himself while keeping his hands sterile.

A disposable hospital gown is provided having a main body and a pair of sleeves. A patient gown such as the type utilized in a hospital setting made up of a single one piece front panel section and a single one piece back panel section releaseably connected along a shoulder seam by a plurality of releasable fasteners. Adjustment of the garment is achieved by pulling the second end to connect a desired fastener hole with the pocket fastener.

A transitional feminine styled garment for use by mastectomy patients immediately following surgery, the garment being sleeveless and having wireless and non-binding pockets for soft molded cups. The garment has inside drainage pockets for drainage receptacles.

A medical gown (100) is configured for quick donning and removal. A neck closure includes an insertion strap (109) and a fastening strap (110). The insertion strap (109) can be preconfigured with at least a portion thereof inserted into a fastening head (111) of the fastening strap (110). The child's garment (12) with double slider zipper (10) is a garment having an upper portion configured to cover the child's upper body, including the chest, arms, and upper torso, and a lower portion configured to cover the child's lower body, including the lower torso, hips and legs, and may also cover the feet. The garment (12) is furnished with an elongated zipper (10) on the front of the garment extending from the collar to the foot or lower end of the garment, the zipper (10) extending along only one leg (18) when the garment (12) has two legs. In one embodiment, the one or more pockets (201,202,203) include a thermal adjustment layer (405), which may be configured as a thermal adjustment pocket (406), or a foldable layer of material (706). At least a portion of the thermal adjustment layer (405) may be selectively placed either between the one or more heating or cooling packs (204) and the wearer, or between the one or more heating or cooling packs (204) and an outer pocket portion (301) of a pocket (300). The one or more pockets (201,202,203) may be detachable from the garment (100), and may be of the same or different material as that of the garment (100).

A garment for accommodating medical devices comprises a garment panel detachably coupled to a garment body. The garment panel contains a concealed pocket suitable for accommodating one or more medical devices. The garment panel is detachable from the garment body at predetermined attachment zones which provide access to device sites and permit complete detachment of the garment panel. The panel may also be fixed to the garment body at anchor zones, while allowing decoupling at attachment zones. The pocket may contain an inner compartment for receiving a supplemental material such as an absorbing or deodorizing material. Apertures to the inner compartment allow the supplemental material to proximate device sites on the patient body or medical apparatus stored in the pocket. Stabilizers positioned on the interior of the garment may be used to secure medical monitor wires, tubing, or other devices. The garment is intended for wear by children and adults.
