Abstract

Cleaning compositions are disclosed that contain surfactants and viscosity modifiers including electrolytes that thicken upon dilution to form a gel. The composition can be used in household cleaning activities such as dishwashing. They provide enhanced and progressive retention of surfactants in the carrier, thus avoiding excessive product consumption and providing greater yields.
