Abstract

The invention discloses a two-way ring network system. The two-way ring network system comprises a main node and at least one slave node, wherein, the main node comprises at least two pairs of E1 ports and the slave node comprises two pairs of the E1 ports and an Ethernet port which exchanges data with the two pairs of the E1 ports; the main node and the slave node form a two-way ring network through the connection of the E1 ports. The main node further comprises switch equipment which is provided with CPOS ports and terminal multiplexing equipment which is connected with the switch equipment by the CPOS channel and the E1 ports of the main node are arranged on the terminal multiplexing equipment. The invention also discloses a method for controlling the two-way ring network system. The two-way ring network system can prevent signal-point troubles which can further result in communication failures in a network, discover the problem of the cross connection at the two-way ring and automatically block a self-loopback of the E1 port; the switch equipment is connected with the terminal multiplexing equipment by the CPOS channel; therefore, the ring network capacity is large, the optical fiber can be directly connected to the switch equipment without being led to the ground, the system structure is simplified and the cost is saved.
