Problems solved by technology

[0004] It can be seen from the figure that the center point positioning algorithm of the fingerprint image without border lines is very accurate, while the image with border lines is affected by the border and the center point positioning fails completely.

Embodiment Construction

[0028] The present invention will be further described now in conjunction with accompanying drawing:

[0029] The hardware environment used for implementation is: Pentium-2.66G computer, 256MB memory, 64M graphics card, and the running software environment is: Window XP. We have realized the method that the present invention proposes with VC++ and MATLAB 7.1 programming language.

[0030] First, the image is preprocessed with band-stop filtering:

[0031] H ( u , v ) = 1 1 + ( D l D ( u , v ) ...

Abstract

The invention relates to a fingerprint image frame line deletion method, which pertains to the digital image processing and fingerprint identification technical fields. The filtering method is characterized in that: an image with the size of m multiplied by n is firstly carried out the band-stop filter pre-treatment, the image after the pre-treatment is carried out the binary processing, two windows with the size of m multiplied by 9 and 9 multiplied by n are used for scanning the whole image along the longitudinal direction and the transverse direction, the minimum value of the sums of rows of pixels is calculated within the window field with the size of m multiplied by 9, the minimum value of the sums of lines of pixels is calculated within the window field with the size of 9 multiplied by n, the filling of the image is carried out according to the values and the deletion of the image frame lines is completed. The deletion method has the advantages that: the deletion method is applicable to the removal of an interference which is generally existed in an automatic fingerprint identification system, thus allowing the automatic fingerprint identification to be more accurate.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to a method for filtering border lines of fingerprints, which is used for removing a ubiquitous interference in an automatic fingerprint identification system, so as to make automatic fingerprint identification more accurate. Background technique [0002] Automated Fingerprint Identification System (AFIS for short), with its safety, reliability and efficiency, has broad application prospects in the fields of public security, information security and e-commerce. figure 1 Shown is the flow of a complete AFIS. We can see from the figure that the automatic fingerprint recognition system is composed of several parts such as image preprocessing, feature extraction, classification and matching. After a series of preprocessing steps, the fingerprint image will be classified and matched, and the registration is the ultimate goal of the automatic fingerprint recognition system. Among the many methods of fingerprint classification, there i...
