Abstract

The invention relates to a method for inducing the generation of dragon blood through the alkali treatment on live leaves of dragon trees. The method consists of the following steps: 1. an alkaline matter is compounded with liquid or solid powder; 2. the compounded alkaline matter is applied on leaves of a dragon tree or meristem generating the leaves; 3. after the leaves of the dragon tree are treated by the alkaline matter for a period of time, and the alkaline matter is removed by washing with water or other methods; 4. after the live leaves of the dragon tree are subjected to alkali treatment for a period of time, dragon blood can be formed; and 5. the fat-containing leaves generating the dragon blood are harvested, dried and extracted by use of ethanol or methanol, and the dragon blood can be obtained after an extract is dried.
