Abstract

The invention discloses a system for automatically testing a WCDMA physical layer and a method thereof, wherein the system comprises a physical layer developing and testing board, a simulating base station and a control computer. The physical layer developing and testing board is used for automatically testing the WCDMA physical layer through operating a foreground control module; the simulating base station is connected with the physical layer developing and testing board and is used for executing a test case at the base station side; and the control computer is connected with the physical layer developing and testing board and the simulating base station, and is used for configuring the test case at the base station side and / or a test case at UE side through operating a background control module, controlling the foreground control module to execute the test case at the UE side and controlling the simulating base station to execute the test case at the base station side. The system and the method realize the automatic testing on the functions and properties of software and hardware of the WCDMA physical layer.
