Abstract

The invention relates to a novel DC pulsed attenuator comprising a cylinder body; two ends of the cylinder body are respectively provided with a metal connecting column and a high-voltage arm resistor which are connected in series; the cylinder body is externally provided with a metal box in which a capacitor is arranged; and equalizing rings are installed at two ends of the high-voltage arm resistor. The invention is simple in structure, lower in cost and easy to realize, adopts the equalizing rings to improve the electric filed distribution near high-voltage arms of the attenuator, and avoids the corona phenomenon. The largest strength of electric fields between the equalizing rings is less than the breakdown field strength of media filled in the attenuator. A low-voltage arm resistor connected to the inside of the metal box is connected in parallel with the capacitor, thereby influences to the intrinsic standoff ratio and the phase angle of the attenuator are effectively compensated due to the capacitor distributed between the equalizing rings.
