A styrene-acrylate emulsion with excellent leveling property is disclosed, which is mainly used for formulating construction coatings. The formulation thereof comprises: 15-20% of styrene, 15-20% of butyl acrylate, 10-15% of methyl methacrylate, 1-3% of acrylic acid, 1-5% of surfactant, 0.1-0.5% of persulfate and 50% of water. According to the invention Newtonian-like liquid is polymerized by means of the appropriate proportioning of four surfactants and the matching of anionic surfactant and non-ionic surfactant.
