[0024] A commercial standard protein mix was obtained (GE Healthcare, Piscataway, NJ, USA) containing rabbit muscle glycogen phosphorylase b (GP), bovine serum albumin (BSA), egg ovalbumin (OVA) , bovine erythrocyte carbonic anhydrase (CA), soybean trypsin inhibitor (TI) and bovine lactalbumin (LAC). The protein mixture was serially diluted two-fold to reduce the total protein content from 4,000 ng to 7.8 ng, and then the protein mixture was separated by 15% polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis (SDS-PAGE). All electrophoresis procedures were performed according to standard protocols with minor modifications.
