Abstract

The invention discloses a production process of lubricant for a cold drawn seamless steel tube, which is characterized by comprising the following steps of: 1. putting a certain amount of vegetable oil in a heating kettle and heating to 100-200 DEG C; 2. adding puffing powder in high-temperature vegetable oil, evenly stirring while adding the puffing powder till all the vegetable oil becomes solid particles; and 3. crushing the solid particles generated in the step 2 into powder which is the finished lubricant product, wherein the vegetable oil is palm oil. The lubricant produced by the invention has the advantages of environmental protection, high efficiency and good lubricating effect; and when used in the cold-drawing process of seamless steel tubes, the lubricant has the advantage of less consumption and can reduce the wear rate of mechanical molds and maintain the original characteristics of steel tubes, therefore, the steel tubes using the lubricant are beautiful in appearance and bright in color.
