Abstract

The invention belongs to the fields of material science and engineering research, and mainly relates to a method for improving the magnetic characteristics of orientated silicon steel by a pulse electric field. The method for improving the magnetic characteristics of orientated silicon steel by heat treatment of a pulse electric field comprises the following steps of: adopting an electric pulse modification (EPM)-C type electric pulse generator for the annealing test, wherein a lead wire is directly connected with two ends on one side of a sample and is protected by a high purity corundum protecting tube; annealing in a box resistance furnace, adopting gas atmosphere protection, heating an oriented silicon steel sheet from the room temperature to the required annealing temperature, insulating for a period of time, treating the oriented silicon steel sheet in the pulse electric field during the insulation period, and then taking out the oriented silicon steel sheet and cooling in the air to the room temperature. The invention has the advantages that: (1) the equipment and operation are simple; (2) the magnetic characteristics of the oriented silicon steel sheet are improved greatlywith stable effects; and (3) the damaged area of the surface coating of the oriented silicon steel sheet is small.
