Problems solved by technology

At present, in practical application, vetiver mostly adopts asexual propagation method, which is convenient and economical, but the slow seedling period after transplanting is long.
In particular, the planting period is easily restricted by climatic conditions such as temperature and moisture and the water source conditions of the planting point, so management after transplanting is difficult, resulting in unstable survival rate
So far, no one has publicly proposed a relatively mature solution, so the exploration practice in this area has important practical significance

Embodiment 1

[0027] (1) Nursing

[0028] (1) Two-year-old vetiver seedlings were selected from Jiangsu Academy of Agricultural Sciences on April 28, 2005. After pruning, the upper part of the ground was kept 20 cm high and the root system was 5 cm long. The large clumps were divided into small clumps along the easy-to-separate parts. Plant 6-8 plants (tillers), and immediately place them vertically in the mud water, keeping the roots completely immersed in the mud water.

[0029] (2) Excavate 20 cm of soil (clay) from the surface layer of Nanjing, spread it on the cement field to dry until it is convenient to crush, and pass it through a 1mm sieve for later use. Water until nearly saturated one day before bagging, and keep stirring evenly before stacking for later use.

[0030] (3) Use polyethylene plastic bags with a height of 15 cm and a width (diameter) of 6 cm. First place 5 cm thick sieved fine soil at the bottom of the plastic bag, and then put the vetiver seedlings vertically into...

Abstract

The invention provides a simple and effective planting method for vetiver at a severe environment, which comprises the following steps: selecting a 1-2-year good-quality vetiver seed source 2 months before transplanting; retaining the length of the root system to be about 5cm and the length of the aboveground part to be 20cm to 25cm after the trimming; dividing a large cluster of vetiver seedlings into clusters with not less than 6-8 strains per cluster along easy-separation positions; putting the vetiver seedlings in plastic bags filled with fine clay substrates for cultivation until stems and leaves grow healthy and strong and fibrous roots are sufficiently developed; and hardening the seedlings for 1-2 times. Plastic films are adopted to cover the seedlings after the transplanting, and the films cannot be removed completely until external environmental conditions are improved and young leaves and new roots grow. In the invention, the situation that the planting of the vetiver is restricted by climatic factors (such as temperature and water content) or irrigation conditions of planting points for a long time is broken, and perennial construction is realized; moreover, the technological measure is simple; a normalized seedling mode is easy to form; the stable quality and the consistency of the seedlings are ensured; the survival rate is as high as over 95% in the high temperature summer season in large-area production and application; and the survival rate of anti-season planting also reaches over 85%.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to a simple and effective method for planting vetiver in adverse environments, in particular to a method for planting vetiver under unfavorable climate conditions (temperature, water) during the transplanting period or without irrigation at the planting point. Background technique [0002] Vetiver ( Vetiveria zizanioides ) is also called Vetiver, which belongs to Gramineae C 4 Plants, native to the tropics, have good soil and water conservation functions, and have been rapidly popularized and applied in tropical and subtropical regions around the world in the past few decades. In recent years, in soil and water conservation, protection of road and railway slopes, stabilization of reservoirs, dams, river banks, windbreak and sand fixation in windy and sandy land, reclamation of metal tailings and quarries, purification of polluted water bodies, garbage dumps and industrial pollution It has been widely used in areas such as ecolog...
