The pesticide composition contains chitosan oligosaccharide, wherein the weight of chitosan oligosaccharide is 0.003%-0.03% that of the pesticide composition. The invention also provides application of the pesticide composition containing chitosan oligosaccharide for preventing and controlling the whitefly and a method for applying the composition containing chitosan oligosaccharide. According to the invention, an important problem of preventing and controlling the whitefly is solved; and particularly, after the composition containing chitosan oligosaccharide is applied to treat crops having the whitefly disease, the whitefly disease is prevented and controlled, no harm is generated to the crops and no pesticide is retained, thereby achieving the environmentally-friendly prevention and control of the whitefly.
