Abstract

The invention discloses a frequency-doubling green light laser, and relates to an optical fiber laser. The frequency-doubling green light laser comprises a pump source, an optical fiber amplifier and a frequency-doubling system, and is characterized in that: the pump source is a gain-switched picosecond pulse seed source, and the gain-switched picosecond pulse seed source comprises a gain-switched laser connected with a polarization maintaining optical fiber, an optical fiber coupler, a single longitudinal mode locking device and a chirp compensation module, wherein the output end of the gain-switched laser is connected with the single longitudinal mode locking device and the chirp compensation module through the optical fiber coupler respectively. The gain-switched picosecond pulse seed source is adopted, and seed light generated by the gain-switched picosecond pulse seed source is adjustable in repetition frequency and pulse width, is at a picosecond level and is single-mode single-frequency polarized light; after laser is amplified and frequency-doubled, the characteristics of the laser are consistent with those of the seed light, the power of the laser can reach 60w, and light-light conversion efficiency can reach 80 percent; and the whole laser is an all-fiber structure, has a simple and compact structure, and is suitable for industrial production, a complex optical alignment device and water cooling are not required.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to a fiber laser, in particular to a double-frequency green laser pumped by a picosecond pulse laser based on a main oscillation power amplification (MOPA) structure. Background technique [0002] Green lasers are not only widely used in the fields of medical treatment, display, storage, etc., but also play an irreplaceable role in the fields of biology and material processing, such as the precision processing of special materials such as ceramics and highly reflective metals. In addition, because green light has a smaller spot diameter and a higher absorption rate for most materials, it also has broad prospects for high-end laser applications. The general method of generating green light is to use a solid-state semiconductor laser as a pumping light source, combined with nonlinear frequency doubling technology to generate double-frequency green light. However, the green light generated by this method is mostly a continuous multi...
