Abstract

The manufacturing of a piston ring, particularly a high-temperature high-pressure large-aperture piston ring, is a problem in the manufacturing of an engine all the time. No piston ring which is suitable for being used in a large cylinder of a test bed of a large airplane is available domestically at present. The invention discloses a manufacturing method of the high-temperature high-pressure large-aperture piston ring. The manufacturing method comprises the following steps of: (1) selecting nickel-based wrought high-temperature alloy as a base material for manufacturing the piston ring and manufacturing into the piston ring, wherein the diameter of the piston ring is 400-600 mm; (2) performing vacuum heating on the piston ring by using a furnace and heating in a range of 100 DEG C below the temperature of 727 DEG C for 6-8 hours; (3) bombarding the surface of the piston ring with positive ions of nitrogen in a vacuum state for 5-7 hours to form a nitride layer; and (4) cooling the entire piston ring along with the furnace, wherein the cooling amplitude of the furnace is 20-50 DEG C / h and the discharge temperature is 240-260 DEG C. The piston ring manufactured by the invention can fully adapt to use in the large cylinder of the test bed of the large airplane and has stable performance and long service life.
