The excircle surface roughness of a workpiece machined by using the process can be Ra0.8mm; the cylindricity is controlled within 0.02mm; the stroke-leading precision of a thread rolling track can be up to P7; and the cylindricity is within 0.02mm. Furthermore, according to the process, a condition that once machining is performed by the lathe is needed; the rough grinding procedure in the prior art is omitted; and moreover, no cutting liquid needs to be added while machining; and the machining efficiency is greatly improved, the investment on equipment is reduced, cooling liquid is not required, and the process belongs to green cutting processes which are efficient and environmental-friendly.
