Example Embodiment

[0041] Example 1

[0042] Take about 126g of the New York Times newspaper in 1989 and put it in 2L supercritical CO 2 In the treatment kettle, under the conditions of 25MPa and 36℃, pump 700ml of the deacidification agent potassium tetraborate saturated aqueous solution and ethanol mixed solution (volume ratio 60:40) from the auxiliary pump, and treat for 1.8h, CO 2 The flow rate of the fluid is 0.002t / h. Take the same ratio and the same volume of deacidification agent, and use the soaking method to treat the same quality paper as a reference. Supercritical CO 2 After treatment, the pH value of the paper was 8.38 (8.45 in the immersion method), and the pH remained good after aging; the tensile strength of the paper was 2.72 (1.94 in the immersion method), which was 58.2% higher than before deacidification; the elongation was 1.57 (the immersion method) 1.21), 80.4% higher than before deacidification, tearing degree 195.2 (soaking method 128.0), 60% higher than that before deacidi...

[0045] Example 2

[0046] Take about 106g of the New York Times newspaper from 1989 and put it in 2L supercritical CO 2 In the treatment kettle, under the conditions of 24MPa and 36℃, the deacidification agent tetraborate (sodium tetraborate, potassium tetraborate, calcium tetraborate, etc.) saturated aqueous solution-ethanol mixed solution (volume ratio is 50:50) 800ml, 2h treatment, CO 2 The flow rate of the fluid is 0.002t / h. Take the saturated aqueous solution of the deacidification agent listed in the following table, mix it with ethanol at the same solvent volume ratio, and treat the paper under the same supercritical conditions as a reference. It can be seen from the comparison of deacidification results that the deacidification effect of using borate for deacidification is significantly better than the deacidification effect obtained by patent 200910039000.1. The strength remains good after 72 hours aging at 105°C.

[0049] Example 3

[0050] Take about 308g of the New York Times newspaper in 1989 and put it in 2L supercritical CO 2 In the treatment kettle, under the conditions of 24MPa and 36℃, inject the deacidification agent from the auxiliary pump, and each sodium tetraborate saturated aqueous solution-ethanol mixed solution (volume ratio of 50:50) 2000ml, treat for 4h, CO 2 The flow rate of the fluid is 0.002t / h. Take the same ratio and the same volume of deacidification agent, and use the soaking method to treat the same quality paper as a reference. After supercritical treatment, the pH of the paper is 8.33 (8.21 by immersion method), and the pH remains well after aging; the tensile strength of the paper is 2.70 (2.34 by immersion method), which is 56.9% higher than before deacidification; the elongation is 1.54 (soaked) Method 1.21), which is 77.0% higher than before deacidification; tearing degree is 194.0 (soaking method 171.2), which is 59.0% higher than before deacidification; fol...

Abstract

The invention discloses a method for deacidifying through utilizing a soluble tetraborate in a supercritical CO2 state. The method comprises the following steps: putting paper, especially aged and acidified paper in a supercritical CO2 processing apparatus, and processing with an alcohol-water solution containing the soluble tetraborate. The method enables the pH of the paper to be controlled in an optimum range and the deacidifying agent application amount to be reduced. Compared with other methods, the method disclosed in the invention has the advantages of obvious improvement of the paper strength because of the soluble tetraborate in the supercritical CO2 state, and great increase of various mechanical strengths.

Description

[0001] technical field [0002] The present invention relates to a kind of utilization soluble tetraborate in supercritical CO 2 The method of paper deacidification in the state. Background technique [0003] Human civilization with paper as the carrier has continued from thousands of years ago to the present. The profound culture, wisdom and emotion of the ancestors have been accumulated and passed on to us, becoming a precious cultural and material heritage. As one of the resources for studying ancient history, people, nature and culture, ancient books must not be ignored. Due to the influence of the natural environment, social environment, and man-made destruction, the number of ancient books and documents in existence has become less and less, and some of them have even become orphans. According to statistics, the ancient books and documents collected by various libraries in our country have reached 30 million volumes, and 5% of the ancient books and documents have rea...
