Abstract

The invention discloses a research method for effect of the extract of modified five-ingredient toxin-dispersing beverage to carrageenan-induced inflammation in mice. According to the method, the five-ingredient toxin-dispersing beverage is as a base, and is modified by adding two Chinese medicinal herbs of root of kudzu vine and red sage root. The method comprises: by using water extraction and alcohol precipitation, extracting and separating a crude extract of the modified five-ingredient toxin-dispersing beverage; by using the classic model of carrageenan-induced paw edema in mice, observing the anti-inflammatory effect of the extract; and determining the influence of the extract to tumor necrosis factor-alpha and interleukin-6 in serum of mice. By using the research method for the effect of the extract of modified five-ingredient toxin-dispersing beverage to carrageenan-induced inflammation in mice of the invention, the conclusion that the effect of the extract of modified five-ingredient toxin-dispersing beverage has inhibiting effect for the tumor necrosis factor-alpha and the interleukin-6 levels, which means that the anti-inflammatory effect of the extract is achieved by inhibiting the secretion of inflammatory cytokines and provides experimental basis for the application of the extract in nonbacterial inflammatory disease.
