Abstract

The invention provides an ammonia nitrogen detector and a detection method. The ammonia nitrogen detector comprises a sampling device, a sequence injection platform, an ammonia gas eviction pool, a gas exchange pump and a detection device, wherein the sampling device is used for extracting samples from a sample source region; the sequence injection platform is used for cleaning the detecting device and the ammonia gas eviction pool, used for extracting a pH indicator to be forced into the detection device, extracting the samples from the sampling device and reagents from a reagent bottles to be forced into a liquid storage ring, forcing the mixed solution in the liquid storage ring into the ammonia gas eviction pool, and discharging the solution in the detection device and the ammonia gas eviction pool after the measurement; the gas exchange pump is used for pumping the ammonia gas in the ammonia gas eviction pool into the detection device; and the detection device is used for detecting the reaction solution of the ammonia gas and the pH indicator through a pH indicator spectrophotometric method, so as to obtain the ammonia nitrogen concentration value. According to the invention, the method integrates the sequence injection analysis technology and the pH indicator spectrophotometric method, thereby solving the problem that the pH indicator spectrophotometric method is difficult to apply.
