[0116] 30 g of disilane component A were mixed with 120 g of methyl isobutyl ketone and 38.4 g of anhydrous methanol. HCl produced by the reaction was allowed to escape from the opening of the flask. The liquid mixture was placed in a sealed bottle, cooled in an ice-water bath, and then transferred to an addition funnel placed on top of a three-neck round bottom flask equipped with stirring device and thermometer. Deionized water (120 g) was charged to the flask and cooled to 2-4°C with an external ice water bath.
