A positive feedback characteristic of a physarum polycephalum network and flow is used for overall optimization of the urban gas pipe network. Users are taken as pipe network node objects, and all the nodes and pipe sections are traveled through by means of the physarum polycephalum bionic algorithm. When flow congestion of a certain pipe section of the urban gas pipe network occurs, an optimal path can be found again by means of self-adaptation performance of the physarum polycephalum bionic algorithm to replace a congested path.
