Abstract

The invention belongs to the field of advanced composite materials and specifically relates to an ethylene-ethyl acrylate-glycidyl methacrylate triblock copolymer (E-MA-GMA) modified carbon fiber reinforced PBT composite material and a preparation method thereof. The preparation method is as follows: firstly, coating and modifying carbon fibers by utilizing E-MA-GMA liquor, wherein mass fraction of the liquor is controlled to 1%-5%; melting and co-mixing the modified carbon fibers with the PBT resin, and thermally pressing and forming to obtain the carbon fiber reinforced PBT composite material. The composite material is endowed with good mechanical property, better processing performance and thermodynamic stability. The method disclosed by the invention is good in process controllability; the obtained carbon fiber reinforced PBT composite material is high in mechanical strength in comparison with the conventional PBT plastic, and has a wide application prospect in the industries such as cars and electrical appliances.
