Abstract

The invention discloses a novel medical application of a monomer component-ilicin A obtained from ilex hainanensis merr to the preparation of lipid-regulating drugs, and drug dosage forms such as granules and tablets prepared from the ilicin A as a raw material. In-vivo tests show that the ilicin A can remarkably improve blood lipid disorders of mice induced by high-lipid diets and reduce the serum apoprotein level of the mice within a certain dosage range. Therefore, the ilicin A can be used for preparing the lipid-regulating drugs and drugs for preventing and treating hyperlipemia.
