Abstract
The invention discloses a water-based acrylic resin emulsion and application thereof. The water-based acrylic resin emulsion is a pre-neutralized water-based acrylic resin emulsion, contains 42 percent of solids, water, a solvent and amine, and is obtained by preparing an acrylic polymer solution from styrene, butyl methacrylate and acrylic acid which are used as raw materials, then partially neutralizing the acrylic polymer solution with N, N-dimethylethanolamine and finally dispersing the neutralized acrylic polymer solution into emulsion in water. The water-based acrylic resin emulsion is specially designed to be matched with liquid epoxy resin to prepare a two-component normal temperature cured water-based coating with high performance and thermosetting property. Through the adoption of the manner, the water-based acrylic resin emulsion has higher outdoor durability, service life of 20 to 30 hours and high resistance to flash rust, early water stains, dampness, water, acid and salt fog.
