Abstract

A copolymer emulsion with a high solid content (>=70%), low viscosity (<=400m Pa.s) and high stability is synthesized with methyl methacrylate (MMA), butyl acrylate (BA), acrylic acid (AA) and the like as raw materials, and with a compound of a nonionic polymerizable emulsifier of allyloxy polyoxyethylene ether (F) and an anionic polymerizable emulsifier of allyloxy alkylphenol polyoxyethylene ether sulfate (DNS) as a monomer emulsifier system. All of the polymerizable emulsifier must be premixed with the monomer uniformly to prevent separate homopolymerization of the polymerizable emulsifier. During prophase preparation of the emulsion, the bipolymerizable emulsifier and the monomer are mixed under an anhydrous condition for dropping; and during middle and late phases of the emulsifier preparation, a buffer containing a pre-emulsion (the bipolymerizable emulsifier and the monomer), an initiator and water are mixed together for emulsification.
