Abstract

The invention discloses environment-friendly architectural paint capable of absorbing formaldehyde. The architectural paint comprises the following raw materials in parts by weight: 10-25 parts of a citrus peel extract, 10-25 parts of diatomite, 35-50 parts of a formaldehyde-removing styrene-acrylic emulsion, 5-20 parts of quartz sand, 15-35 parts of coarse whiting, 0.1-1 part of hydroxyethyl cellulose, 1-10 parts of calcined kaolinite, 0.3-1.5 parts of one or two dispersing agents, 0.1-1 part of an antifoaming agent, 0.1-1.2 parts of a thickening agent, 0.1-0.5 parts of a wetting agent and 80-100 parts of deionized water. The architectural paint can acheive the function of removing formaldehyde without being subsequently added with a functional material, so that the long-term effect and the stability on formaldehyde removing of the architectural paint are achieved; both the purification efficiency and the purification effect of the architectural paint reach the standards, wherein the purification efficiency is higher than 85% and the purification persistence index is higher than 70%.
