The invention discloses a vulnerability based power grid early-warning method, which comprises the steps of calculating power flow distribution of a power grid method under an initial load; calculating a state vulnerability index of each node or branch in a power grid under different load increase rates according to the flow distribution acquired by calculation, wherein the state vulnerability index is used for representing advantages and disadvantages of the operating state of each component in the power grid method, and the state vulnerability index is determined by a vulnerability trend index and a vulnerability margin index together. According to the invention, the improved state vulnerability evaluation indexes are adopted, thereby being screening out components which are high in critical state approaching speed and closer to the critical state after being disturbed, improving the positioning precision, and being convenient for accurately analyzing vulnerable nodes or branches of an electric power method.
