Abstract

The invention relates to the field of biotechnology and discloses a method for controlling the killing of solenopsis invicta by taking HsTRPA-SiHsTRPA of the solenopsis invicta as a target. Specifically, decanoic acid acts on the HsTRPA(SiHsTRPA) target of the solenopsis invicta to control the killing of the solenopsis invicta, and the decanoic acid concentration is greater than or equal to 0.2mM. The invention furthermore discloses an insect repellant for controlling the killing of ants. The insect repellant contains decanoic acid, wherein the decanoic acid concentration is greater than or equal to 0.2mM, preferably, the decanoic acid concentration is greater than or equal to 0.2mM and less than or equal to 1mM. According to the insect repellant, plant natural compounds are selected and used for activating an hstrpa channel of the solenopsis invicta to identify potential ants.
