Abstract

With human cervical carcinoma cells (Hela) as the infection carrier, through a gentamycin protective experiment, an in-vitro biochemical experiment and a mouse salmonella infection model, it is proved that eugenol has a remarkable restraining effect on salmonella infection by influencing the functions of a III-type secretion system. Antibiotics easily induce medicine tolerance in the salmonella infection treating process; compared with antibiotic treatment, a traditional Chinese medicine compound, namely eugenol, can directly restrain the functions of the salmonella III-type secretion system to achieve an anti-infection effect; eugenol can not easily induce medicine tolerance and has the advantage of being high in cure rate.
