Abstract

The invention discloses a method for accessing a BIOS (basic input output system) setup interface and an OS (operating system) and belongs to the computer technical field. According to the method, an ssh protocol is utilized to access a BMC monitoring management unit; the minicom tool under the BMC is called; simulation parameters are set; the consoles of an BIOS and the OS are redirected into the minicom; and the BIOS setup interface and a command line interface under the OS are displayed perfectly under the minicom. Since the minicom tool is called through the BMC monitoring management unit so as to obtain the access right of the BIOS and the OS, information such as serial port output as well as the interactive operation of the BIOS and the OS is collected online remotely, and therefore, a server engineer can conveniently collect the debugging information of a server remotely without going to a site for field debugging each time, and thus, human and material costs are significantly saved, and work efficiency is improved.
