The mirror-foldable photovoltaic and photo-thermal switching type light condensing device is characterized in the photovoltaic and photo-thermal switching type light condensing device further comprises a reflector rotation shaft; the two-segment type cambered reflector includes an upper reflector segment and a lower reflector segment, wherein the upper reflector segment and the lower reflector segment are rotationally connected through the reflector rotation shaft; the vacuum tube heat collector is located above the photovoltaic cell assembly; and the photovoltaic cell assembly is located below the two-segment type cambered reflector. The invention also provides a heat emission or power generation method. The mirror-foldable photovoltaic and photo-thermal switching type light condensing device of the invention is simple in structure.
