The invention discloses a wire icing thickness measuring image processing system comprising a data inputting-recording module, an image pretreatment module, an image feature matching module, an image triangulation measurement and calculation module, an image wire detection and identification module, and an image output module. To be specific, the data inputting-recording module is used for inputting and recording a binocular vision image of an unmanned aerial vehicle as well as POS and attitude information data, corresponding to binocular vision image shooting of the unmanned aerial vehicle, of the unmanned aerial vehicle. The image pretreatment module is used for carrying out Gaussian filter processing on the binocular vision image, inputted and recorded by the data inputting-recording module, of the unmanned aerial vehicle. The image feature matching module is used for determining a characteristic point and a characteristic point main direction to generate an SIFT characteristic vector. The image triangulation measurement and calculation module is used for establishing a geodetic coordinate of the image and calculating the wire icing thickness. The image wire detection and identification module is used for carrying out wire screening to detect a transmission line wire and determining whether icing occurs at the transmission line wire. The image output module is used for outputting image processing results from the image wire detection and identification module and the image triangulation measurement and calculation module. Therefore, the detection and identification efficiency of the icing wire can be improved; and the icing disaster detection technique of the aerial image by the unmanned aerial vehicle can be popularized.
