Abstract

The invention provides a polyester composition suitable for ultrasonic welding and a preparation method thereof. The composition comprises the following components in parts by weight: 30-50 parts of poly (ethylene-co-1,4-cyclohexylenedimethylene terephthalate), 40-60 parts of ABS, 5-10 parts of a melt enhancer, 0.1-1 part of an antioxidant and 0.1-1 part of a lubricant. Compared with the prior art, the polyester composition provided by the invention improves the strength of a melt by using the melt enhancer. The used melt enhancer is ultra-high density polyethylene resin with a glycidyl methacrylate group through irradiation treatment, so that the compatibility of the melt enhancer with the poly (ethylene-co-1,4-cyclohexylenedimethylene terephthalate) is improved. Meanwhile, by controlling the glass-transition temperature of the composition, chippings are not generated during ultrasonic welding, and the composition is high in welding strength and suitable for ultrasonic welding.
