Abstract

The flame retardant consists of 10 to 12 parts of aluminium hydroxide, 12 to 13 parts of hollow glass beads and 8 to 10 parts of organophosphorus flame retardant. The hollow glass beads are activated by an inorganic phosphorus solution before use. The effective filling amount of the hollow glass beads in the polypropylene is increased by carrying out the activating treatment on the hollow glass beads; and the flame retardant effect of the polypropylene product is further enhanced.
