Embodiment Construction

[0019] see figure 1 , the present invention provides a turning mode-locked waveguide laser, the structure of its preferred embodiment includes a pump source 1, a pump coupling device 2, a coupling-in mirror 3, a waveguide laser medium 4, a saturable absorber 5 and a coupling-out mirror 6.

[0020] The pump light emitted by the pump source 1 enters the waveguide laser medium 4 after passing through the pump coupling device 2 and the coupling-in mirror 3, and the generated oscillating light is in the resonant cavity composed of the coupling-in mirror 3 and the coupling-out mirror 6 The gain is continuously obtained, and the saturable absorber 5 placed in the resonant cavity modulates the oscillating light. When the oscillating light reaches the threshold of the resonant cavity, the mode-locked laser is output through the coupling output mirror 6 . The in-coupling mirror 3 enhances the transmission of the pump light and totally reflects the oscillating light; the out-coupling mi...

Abstract

The invention belongs to the technical field of a laser, and specifically relates to a turning mode-locking waveguide laser. The turning mode-locking waveguide laser comprises a pumping source, a resonant cavity and waveguide laser medium positioned in the resonant cavity; the turning mode-locking waveguide laser is characterized in that a turning waveguide mode field is distributed in the waveguide laser medium; the resonant cavity comprises a coupling input mirror and a coupling output mirror; the coupling input mirror is positioned between the pumping light output end of the pumping source and the pumping light input end of the waveguide mode field; and the coupling output mirror is positioned at the laser output end of the waveguide mode field. The turning mode-locking waveguide laser adopts the waveguide laser medium with the turning waveguide mode field; due to limitation of the waveguide mode field, high-order mode consumes more energy than low-order mode, so that the high-order mode is weakened or even suppressed in mode competition, and the laser can output laser with relatively high light beam quality; and in addition, by virtue of the turning waveguide mode field structure, the waveguide length of the waveguide laser can be improved while a more compact structure can be obtained, thereby further realizing the miniaturization of a femtosecond laser photoetching mode-locking waveguide laser.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention belongs to the technical field of lasers, and in particular relates to a turning mode-locked waveguide laser. Background technique [0002] A waveguide laser is a micro laser based on a waveguide structure, and its core is an optical waveguide, which is the basis of integrated optical devices. The waveguide laser uses the waveguide structure on the laser gain medium as a laser resonator, couples the pump light into the waveguide, and generates laser oscillation in the waveguide gain medium. The laser gain medium is based on crystals, glass, transparent ceramics, and titanium sapphire, which are doped with rare earth elements (such as Nd 3+ 、Er 3+ , Yb 3+ 、Tm 3+ etc.) formed. Compared with bulk devices, waveguide lasers use the waveguide structure to confine the energy of the beam in a waveguide with a very small cross-section, which can effectively increase the energy density of light and obtain high gain, thereby reducing the pumpin...
