Problems solved by technology

[0009] 1. The energy-saving effect of adjusting Beacon frame interval time and adjusting AP transmit power is not obvious
[0010] 2. Due to the strong mobility of users in the network, the network energy efficiency management and energy saving mechanism based on clustering and historical data modeling cannot adjust the network status in real time according to changes in user status, and it is difficult to avoid the loss of user services
[0011] 3. The existing energy-saving algorithm based on network load perception lacks the consideration of the capacity of a single node, cannot guarantee that the opened AP node can meet the needs of the network, and lacks the selection consideration when the user connected to the dormant AP reselects the AP to access

Embodiment Construction

[0050] The technical solutions in the embodiments of the present invention will be described clearly and in detail below with reference to the drawings in the embodiments of the present invention. The described embodiments are only some of the embodiments of the invention.

[0051] The technical scheme that the present invention solves the problems of the technologies described above is:

[0052] A WLAN system wireless access point energy-saving control method based on an auction mechanism comprises the following steps:

[0053] Step 1: Apply a downlink load of 0-80Mbps at an interval of 5Mbps to the AP (that is, the data traffic is sent to the user associated with the wireless mode through the wired end), and read the actual energy consumption data P of the AP in real time through the power monitor. At the same time, the packet loss rate lose_rate is obtained in real time through the packet loss rate monitoring of the wireless client, thus obtaining the following image 3 D...

Abstract

The invention provides an energy-saving control method of wireless access points (AP) of a wireless local area network (WLAN) system, and belongs to the technical field of communication. According to the scheme, the energy-saving mode of AP hibernation-wakeup is mainly employed, hibernation APs are selected based on network real-time perception data, the access selection problem of a new AP of the hibernation APs during unloading of a user is optimized through a reverse auction access AP selection algorithm, and the optimization of the energy consumption of the WLAN system is achieved. The method includes: firstly measuring the energy consumption of AP equipment, and determining an AP hibernation-wakeup threshold through a marginal effect analysis of the energy consumption; then sensing the network load state in real time through a central controller, obtaining an associative matrix of users and APs, and establishing a relation model between the energy consumption, the coverage and the user QoE and AP selection; and finally completing the access selection of accessing to the new AP of a to-be-unloaded user based on a reverse auction algorithm to realize hibernation of idle APs in the system. According to the method, the wireless coverage and the user QoE are satisfied, and the energy consumption of the WLAN system brought by redundant APs can be effectively reduced.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention belongs to the technical field of wireless communication, and relates to an auction mechanism-based energy-saving control method for wireless access points in a WLAN system. Background technique [0002] In recent years, mobile network data traffic has grown exponentially. According to the Cisco Global Data Traffic Forecast Report, the data traffic in 2018 is expected to be more than ten times that of 2013. In order to meet the increasing demands of users for high-bandwidth and high-reliability data transmission services, operators densely deploy a large number of wireless access points (APs) in public and commercial places to build a centralized management WLAN system. Dense deployment of wireless local area network (WLAN) systems can provide effective coverage and high-bandwidth access for mobile users, and more and more users choose to access the network through wireless. According to the 37th "Statistical Report on Internet Developme...
