Abstract

The invention discloses a method for preparing silicone modified polyacrylate mini-emulsion. The method comprises the following steps: (1) adding hexadecyl alcohol into a mixture of an acrylate monomer and a silicone monomer, and stirring for 1-3 hours to obtain an oil-phase mixture; (2) dissolving an emulsifier into water, and stirring for 1-2 hours so as to obtain an aqueous phase mixture; (3) adding the oil-phase mixture obtained in the step (1) into the aqueous phase mixture obtained in the step (2) according to a mass ratio of 1:1, stirring, and carrying out an ultrasonic reaction for 15minutes; (4) stirring the mixture obtained in the step (3) in a nitrogen atmosphere for 30-50 minutes; and (5) raising the temperature to 60 DEG C, adding a reducing agent (hydrogen sulfite), adding an oxidizing agent (potassium persulfate), and reacting for 4-6 hours, thereby obtaining the product. According to the silicone modified polyacrylate mini-emulsion prepared by the method provided by the invention, the coagulation rate is as low as 0.81%, the particle size is as low as 76nm, the particle size distribution is only 0.12, and the stability is excellent.
