Abstract

The invention provides an uplink transmission method and device in a WDM PON system. An optical network unit ONU generates an initial uplink optical signal; a downlink wavelength position in the initial uplink optical signal is separated; an array waveguide raster is arranged in a remote node RN, which cuts and multiplexes the multiple initial uplink optical signals coming from the ONU into the initial uplink optical signal having multiple uplink sub-wavelengths; an optical line terminal (OLT) performs bandwidth compression and reflection on the initial uplink optical signal having multiple uplink wavelengths; the uplink sub-wavelength in a reflected uplink optical signal is transmitted to the ONU after de-multiplexing through an array waveguide raster; and the ONU (optical network unit) modulates uplink data on the corresponding uplink sub-wavelength. The uplink transmission method and device in the WDM PON system provide a narrow band seed spectrum to the uplink signal of the WDM PONsystem, reduce a spectrum bandwidth while inhibiting a side mode and improve transmission performance.
