Abstract

A preparation method of a visible-light photo-catalyst includes the following steps: 1) mixing and completely grinding cyanuric chloride and elementary sulfur S8 to prepare a solid powder; 2) placingthe solid powder in a muffle furnace and performing thermal treatment in nitrogen gas atmosphere, and naturally cooling the product to room temperature and taking out the product. The photo-catalyst is used for visible-light catalytic decomposition of water to prepare hydrogen gas. The elementary sulfur S8, at different temperatures, exists in different phases: at normal temperature, the elementary sulfur S8 is in solid phase; when temperature is increased to more than 115.2 DEG C, the elementary sulfur S8 is molten into liquid phase; and at 444.6 DEG C, the elementary sulfur S8 turns into gasphase. When the cyanuric chloride is heated with the elementary sulfur S8, the elementary sulfur S8, at 115.2-444.6 DEG C, is in liquid phase, so that the cyanuric chloride is equivalently polymerized in a sulfur solvent. Due to existence of sulfur, polymerization of the cyanuric chloride is accelerated, thus accelerating a deamination process. The carbon nitride visible-light photo-catalyst is two-dimensional carbon nitride having a hollow capsule structure and has excellent photo-catalytic activity. The preparation process is free of any template and subsequent treatment and can produce thephoto-catalyst in one step.
