According to the mixed culture method of the rice, lotus roots and fishes andshrimps, a required growth environment of the lotus roots and fishes and shrimps is utilized fully, the soil can be loosened when the shrimps crawl, and since the fishes like digging mud for food, sothat formation of viscous and moderately loose soil and mud which are suitable for the growth of the lotus roots is facilitated when mixed cultivation is conducted; meanwhile, since air breathing is needed for the growth of the lotus roots, enough-content oxygen supplementation for the fishes and shrimps and the air breathing requirement can be achieved at the same time by means of transmission through holes in the lotus roots; farming of the fishes and shrimps and the growth of the lotus roots complement each other, and acidic fertilizer rich in organic matter is applied to the soil cooperatively, so that the lotus roots have stout and strong rhizomes, thick lotus root pulp, a thick and solid lotus root shape and high quality; in addition, floating-body rice is put in a pool of the lotusroots, so that the pool of the lotus roots is utilized fully.
