The driving surface modules comprise drive mechanisms and driving surface rotating fastener mechanisms, the driven surface modules comprise stop pin control mechanisms and driven surface rotating fastener mechanisms, and the unit has three degrees of freedom. The invention further provides a modular reconfigurable robot formed by assembling a plurality of units. The units can be assembled into the modular reconfigurable robot with different degrees offreedom and capable of meeting requirements of different application places by different topological connection modes, the units are conveniently disassembled and assembled, and the maintenance costof a modular robot system can be greatly reduced. The cubic modular reconfigurable robot unit with a module structure has the advantages of connection reliability, convenience in disassembly and assembly, movement flexibility and the like and can be widely applied and not limited to the fields of industry, aerospace, education, rescue and the like.
