Abstract

The present invention discloses a noise robust wheel hub edge detection algorithm based on a Canny operator. The method comprises the following steps: 1) photographing a front view of an automobile wheel hub on the wheel hub production line by using a camera, and performing Gaussian smoothing filtering; 2) calculating the gradient amplitude of the smoothed image to obtain a gradient amplitude image; 3) repeating the operations in steps 1) and 2) on the gradient amplitude image to obtain a double line edge contour of the gradient amplitude; 4) performing multiple differential operations to refine the wheel hub edge image; and 5) performing enhancement processing on the wheel hub edge image. According to the algorithm disclosed by the present invention, image distortion is reduced, false edges are avoided, and the precision and accuracy of the machine vision-based industrial robot wheel hub deburring system are improved.
