Abstract

A terahertz wave band dynamic adjustable reflection type polarized deflector belongs to the field of metamaterials and electromagnetic function devices. The deflector includes a metal ground plate, amedium substrate located on the metal ground plate and polarization deflection units located on the medium substrate. The deflector is characterized in that the polarization deflection units are arranged in a M*N array manner, and M and N are integers greater than 2; each of the polarization deflection units is a left and right symmetrical structure, a symmetry axis and a row line of the array form an included angle with 45 degrees; and the polarization deflection units include two oppositely-arranged T-shaped cathodes and a doped heterogeneous material region, the cathodes are connected to the doped heterogeneous material region through ohm pasters, an anode is arranged between the two cathodes, and the anode and the doped heterogeneous material region form an electric connection. Throughthe deflector, the high speed switching characteristic can be achieved, and finally, the high speed deflection of polarization is achieved.
