The extraction and enrichment technology comprises the following steps: taking a properamount of dried dactylicapnos root medicinal materials and crushing; putting into an extraction pot; adding a water solution which is 10 to 20 times of the weight of the dried dactylicapnos root medicinal materials; stirring and impregnating for one night; removing an impregnation solution on the next day; adding a 9 to 10 percent acid water solution which is 8 to 13 times of the weight of the dried dactylicapnos root medicinal materials; and carrying out hot refluxing and extracting for 2 to 5 times. The invention further discloses application of the protopine monomer in the dactylicapnos roots to cough and asthma relieving preparations, pain alleviating preparations, anti-arrhythmia preparations or anti-tumor preparations.
