Abstract

The invention discloses a diagnosis and treatment marker for nasopharyngeal carcinoma. The marker is VILL, experiments show that the expression of the VILL and a protein thereof is significantly reduced in nasopharyngeal carcinoma tissue and suggest that the VILL can be used in the diagnosis or treatment of the nasopharyngeal carcinoma. Further, in-vitro cell experiments confirm that the VILL is related to the proliferation, apoptosis, migration, and invasion of nasopharyngeal carcinoma cells and suggest that the VILL can be used as a drug target in the clinical treatment of the nasopharyngealcarcinoma. The invention also discloses the protein EIF3J interacting with a VILL gene. Experiments find that the EIF3J is positively correlated with the VILL and suggest that the expression level ofthe VILL gene can be increased through the EIF3J, so that the purpose of treating the nasopharyngeal carcinoma or nasopharyngeal carcinoma metastasis is achieved, and a novel treatment idea is provided.
